invites you to a solo-act competition PROP-IT-OFF.Deliver a monologue with the creative use of prop to woo the judges and win exciting prizes .
In the world full of characters , words, gestures, language and many other aspects of theatre where in monoact remains an inseparable part of the theatre.
We are providing you with the opportunity, liberty and freedom to choose your own characters and portrait it in whatever manner you desire to.

Rules and Regulations:

1.Single entries only.
2.A prop from the list should be used in your act. (prop list: watch/clock/calendar /colours).
3.The time limit is 3-5 minutes.
4.No cuts and edits should be there.
5.Video to be submitted through Google photos link.
6.Entries allowed either in Hindi or in English or both.
7.Obscenity and offensive language is not allowed.
8.Plagiarism will lead to disqualification or negative marks.
9.Decision of the judges will be final and abiding.

Judging Criteria:- prop use, diction, creativity and content.

(ADAPTATION COMPETITION)

ABHIVYAKTI’21

Adaptation is a profound process which helps you Thrive The World. NAVRANG presents "ADAPT-IT".
A competition to let your creativity flow and use your word to give a new shape to an old treasure .
Rewrite and adapt an old script or any short story to fit into the contemporary world ,
just don’t let your pen run out of ink. The preliminary round will be based on submission based script.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Pre–submission of the entry is required in the registration form.
2. The script should not contain any kind of offensive or abusive language.
3. The preliminary round will be based on the script.
4. Script should be of 10-12 pages.
5. The speech can be bilingual(HINDI/ENGLISH).
6. The decision made by judges will be final and abiding.
7. Best 6 script will be selected for the final round.

RULES FOR THE FINAL ROUND:-

1.No abusive language allowed.
2.Video to be shared through google photos link.
3.No cuts or edits should be there.
4.The time limit should be 7-10 minutes.
5.Judges decision will be final and abiding.

MIME MAKES THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE AND THE VISIBLE INVISIBLE” NAVRANG : The Stage Play Society Of PGDAV College (M)
announces "DUMBSHOW" a mime competition,without using your words , convey your emotions, actions and thoughts to win exciting prizes.
DUMBSHOW, a mime competition includes the form of silent art which involves acting and communication through movements, gestures and facial expressions.

Theme:-

1.BLACK IS ETERNAL
2.THE VOYAGE CONTINUES

Rules and Regulations:

1.Solo participation.
2.No cuts should be there.
3.Time limit is of 3-5 minutes, exceeding which will lead to negative points.
4.Act should not contain any dialogue, lip-sync, music or prop.
5.The video should be shared through google photos link.
6.Decision of the judges will be final and abiding.

Judging Criteria:- Creativity, thought process, Theme justification and expressions.

(SHORT FILM COMPETITION)

NAVRANG: THE STAGE PLAY SOCIETY OF PGDAV COLLEGE (M)

ABHIVYAKTI’21

A story should have a beginning, a middle and an end, but not necessarily in that order.
NAVRANG is hosting a short film competition-"Thy Revert".
Pick up your camera and start shooting and portray the world through your lens.
The participants need to shoot the story in a reverse way but dialogues must make sense in the sequence.

Rules and Regulations:

1.No entry fee.
2.No limited participants.
3.Short film only so no documentaries allowed .
4.Speech may be bilingual(Hindi or English or both)
5.Usage of stock footage is not allowed.
6.The length of the film should be 10-12 minutes.
7.There is no bar on subject matter.
8.The extension to the video should be mp4 or mkv and to be shared through google photos link.
9.Wise selection of words should be kept in mind.

Judging Criteria :flow of the story, expressions and direction.

A Song Making Competition

Rules and Regulations:

1. Time Limit: 3 minutes
2. Team Limit: 2-5 members
3. This is a group competition
4. The lyrics of the song should be original
5. The song must have percussion in it
6. Instead of instruments, use random objects to create a percussive effect
7. The singer and the object used as an instrument should be clearly visible in the video
8. The theme, "Aviral- The Voyage Continues" should be kept in mind while developing the song
9. Record a video of your song in one shot
10. Editing of the video is prohibited
11. Upload your song video as an entry on Instagram and tag @rudra_dramsoc
12. Winners will be getting exciting cash prizes along with e-Certificates
13. Registration deadline is 10th April, 11:59 pm
14. Submit your video before 14th April, 11:59 pm

"Nukkad" theme based Ad Making Competition

Rules and Regulations:

1. Time Limit: Maximum 3-4 minutes
2. Team Limit: 4-10 members
3. This is a group competition
4. The use of props is allowed
5. Only for Dramatic Societies
6. Multiple teams can participate from one society
7. The participants should be part of any dramatics society to be eligible for the competition
8. Prepare a short advertisement on the concept of "Nukkad"
9. The advertisement should not advertise your society or its achievements
10. Any kind of profanity is prohibited
11. The advertisement can be shot and recorded in person or virtually
12. The video should not contain any animation or graphics
13. Winners will be getting exciting cash prizes along with e-Certificates
14. Registration deadline is 10th April, 11:59 pm
15. Submit your video before 14th April, 11:59 pm

DCTC based quiz

Rules and Regulations:

1.Team Limit: 3 members per society
2.This is a group competition
3.Only for Dramatic Societies
4.The participants should be part of any dramatics society to be eligible for the competition

The quiz will be conducted in two rounds:

⩷ Preliminary Round
1.This round will he held on 14th April
2. The participating teams will be provided with a google form containing questions related to theatre and DCTC Street Plays
3. The time limit to fill up the questionnaire will be 15-30 minutes
4. Top 5 societies will be shortlisted for the final round

⩷ Final Round
1.This round will be held live on 16th April via Zoom/Google Meet
2.Maximum three members from each shortlisted society will participate in the round
3.Winners will be getting exciting cash prizes along with e-Certificates

A Story Writing cum MonoAct Competition

Rules and Regulations:

1.This is an individual competition
2.The competition will be held in two rounds: Story Writing Round & Mono-Act Round

⩷Round 1- Story Writing
1.Write a short story on any one of the given genres
2.The first two sentences or the last two sentences of your story should specifically give out the genre you have chosen
3.The story should be in English/Hindi
4.Word limit: 500 words
5.Your story should have a title
6.Mention the genre along with the title. For example, "The Thirsty Crow (existentialism)"
7.Submit your story in PDF format

⩷Round 2- MonoAct
1.This round will be held live on 17th April via Zoom/Google Meet
2.Each shortlisted participant will be provided a particular genre along with two sentences from some other participant's story.
3.The participants will prepare a mono-act based on the genre provided.
4.Winners will be getting exciting cash prizes along with e-Certificates
