1) The poem should be original in its composition. Any sort of plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
2) The use of music, props, costumes, or any other aid is not allowed and would lead to disqualification.
3) Any sort of racist, homophobic, or sexist content would be immediately disqualified.
4) The poem should be in English only.
5) The competition is open to only undergraduate students.
6) The selected participants will be notified via e-mail and Qaafiya’s Instagram page.
7) The last date for registration is 13 th April, 11:59 AM.
8) Mentioning the trigger warnings is important if your piece deals with sensitive issues.

Grey Matter: The Debating Society presents SALVA VERITATE- An Inter-College Bilingual Multi-level Debate Competition.

Round 1
Date: 16th April 2021
Time: 11 A.M.
Venue: Google Meet
(Round 1- Conventional Debate)
1. The entire debate competition will be held online.
2. The debate shall be organized in Hindi and as well as in English, the students are allowed to choose only a single medium throughout his/her debate.
3. The Time limit is 3+1 minutes+ rebuttal.
No cross questioning is permitted.
4. Make sure that you're asking questions to the speaker during the Interjection/Rebuttal Time Period.
5. Paper reading is not allowed. You may refer only to key points, and use paper just for reference.
6. Participants are supposed to unmute their video/audio only when explicitly asked to do so.
7. Any unparliamentary behaviour during the course of the event will render the participant liable for disqualification.
8. Details of Round 2 will be disclosed on 16th April 2021, i.e. after Round 1.
9. Slots will be confirmed via call by OC.
10. Decision of Judges will be Final and Binding.
11. It's compulsory to switch on your camera when it's your turn to speak.
12. Motion will be declared 2 days before the main event.
